🦁 On average male lions can weigh up to 190kg
🦁 Lion cubs start off with faint spots on their coats called rosettes, these fade over time.

🦁 The male lion's mane can grow up to 16cm in length, and continues to get darker as they grow older.
🦁 Lionesses do most of the hunting, whilst male lions patrol the territory to protect the pride

There are 23,000 African lions left in the wild, so they are classified as 'vulnerable'
