We're Bare Kind
The everyday sock, it’s a necessity. An item you’ll most likely wear everyday but it doesn’t have to be boring. At Bare Kind we create comfy, vibrant animal socks that save the world’s animals. How great is that? We believe in a world where as a community we can have a positive impact.

I’m Lucy Jeffrey, I founded Bare Kind in 2018 from an urge to create something that will be loved but that also adds value to the world. For me, that just happened to be the humble sock.
I love animals, always have. My childhood dream of being a vet ended when I grew up and a fear of needles grew with me. Can’t be helped! But through Bare Kind, I found a new purpose. One that blends my love for animals and my desire to help the world. By creating animal-saving socks!
My first word was even socks, so it’s a full-circle moment. Who knew you could have such an impact through the everyday sock? But here at Bare Kind, we are creating impact from the very first step of the process.

As of October 2023, Bare Kind is pleased to announce that we are a B Corp Certified Business. As a B Corp, we are part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact.
The manufacturers we work with are based in Turkey, India and China. The location of our manufacturing isn’t confirmation of ethical and environmental standards being met or not. Which is why we ensure that all of our manufacturers are independently verified.
Additionally, we use a Gold Standard offset to achieve 100% carbon neutral status for every stage in our supply chain. For context, this is the highest level of certification you can have for carbon offsetting.
Plus, 10% of the profits from each pair of socks goes to one of the conservations and charities of the animal on the sock! This means, not only are you wearing the animal you love, but helping save them too - even better!
So, why "Bare Kind"?

Bare Kind is all about doing good with the little things.
"Bare" is focusing on keeping things simple and natural. We use bamboo, the fastest growing plant in the world so we can create socks that are gentle on the Earth and on your skin.
"Kind" is at the heart of everything we try to do. Whether it’s helping save endangered animals, making ethical choices in our supply chain, or just brightening someone’s day with a fun pair of socks — kindness is always the goal and drives every decision we make.
It’s a small name with a big meaning: leave a lighter footprint, and be kind while you’re at it.
Our mission is simple, to save the world’s animals one sock at a time

This mission bleeds into every choice made at Bare Kind. I knew, inherently, that we could make socks better: more eco-friendly, more comfortable, more sustainable. I also knew that I can save far more animals through socks with profit donations! After all, everyone needs a good pair of socks (or twenty).
Now Bare Kind's Team has grown, and our product range has grown with it! Now we're partnered with over 30 charities, 10 of which are UK-based. With the help of you and our partnerships, we save dozens of animals! In the past our efforts have helped save 887 acres of tropical rainforest, fund 209 boxes of fish for penguins, adopt 12 giraffes and so much more.
The best thing, this is only the start. We want to make people happy with socks. Knowing that their purchase, those socks, are doing good beyond taking care of their feet. So, here's to saving even more endangered animals with socks!

Andy
Hi, I’m Andy, and I’ve been helping Lucy with Bare Kind since the start when we were selling straws!
Now that we are on Socks, I joined our mission full-time Jan 2022.
Growing up we were surrounded by animals in Australia, whether down at the beach in the water, in the bush with kangaroos, or at home with our dog, turtle, chickens, and fish!
My hope is that our mission of donating 10% of our profits encourages all businesses to donate 10% of their profits, imagine the impact we could have on the world!

Fuji
And finally, say hello to the youngest and fluffiest member of the team. This is Fuji, he was rescued from a shelter and hired as Chief Distraction Officer, he is probably the source of most procrastination when I am working from home with him!
