Bare Kind Climate Action Plan
Our Commitment
At Bare Kind, we believe businesses have a responsibility to protect the natural world.
Every pair of socks we create supports wildlife conservation, but we also recognise that reducing our own environmental impact is just as important.
We support the global ambition of limiting global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, in line with the Paris Agreement. We are committed to continually improving the environmental performance of our business by making responsible decisions across our operations, supply chain and product lifecycle.
This Climate Action Plan outlines how we will work towards this commitment and how we will review our progress over time.
Our Climate Priorities
Our focus is to continually reduce the environmental impact of our business while supporting nature restoration through our conservation partnerships.
Our priorities include:
• Designing durable products that are made to last.
• Choosing lower-impact materials wherever possible, including responsibly sourced bamboo.
• Reducing unnecessary packaging and maximising recyclable packaging materials.
• Prioritising sea freight over air freight wherever practical to reduce transport emissions.
• Working with suppliers that demonstrate strong environmental and ethical standards.
• Supporting wildlife conservation projects that protect habitats and biodiversity around the world.
Our Climate Targets
Bare Kind has established the following climate-related objectives:
-
Responsible Sourcing
Continue working with suppliers that maintain recognised independent ethical and environmental audit standards (such as SEDEX or BSCI where applicable) and regularly review supplier performance.
-
Sustainable Packaging
Continue reviewing our packaging to reduce unnecessary material use and maximise recyclable and responsibly sourced packaging.
-
Lower Impact Transport
Prioritise sea freight over air freight wherever operationally possible and continue reviewing logistics to reduce the environmental impact of transporting our products.
-
Annual Impact Reporting
Publish an annual Impact Report detailing the environmental and conservation outcomes achieved through Bare Kind and identifying opportunities for continual improvement.
-
Continuous Improvement
